I have freed up the locker space and had a 30 litre gas tank fitted under my van. We had it installed by Autogas 2000 in Thirsk North Yorkshire. It has an LED gauge that show how much gas is in the tank and I had a BBQ point fitter so I can manually connect a gas bottle in case I cant find a gas station.
The internal gas locker meant that I had to unload the van so I could turn the gas on or off. I have had a crash safe regulator fitted so no more turning on and off each trip.
