Hi Ed,
knowing you are British I went to your English version of the problem. Let me try to corner the problem: you say the leak has appeared "FROM" the base. May I ask if you saw it "at" the bottom of the tap? Reason I ask is that you continue to state cause may be the little Madenschraube/grub screw. If correct htis would mean that the water flows from the faucet down to the sink. The faucet itself is a spare part together with the sealing ring and the grub screw.(see attchement; I base my "analysis on the Trend E faucet from Reich which is sort of a standard with Poessl vans). The pictures show the tap is already dismounted from the kitchen board so why don´t you try to disconnect the faucet by loosening the grub screw and see if the o ring is damaged. You can easily pull of the faucet towards you.
I had the same problem and could fix it with changing the faucet and O ring and the grub screw. When ordering pay attention that all three items are dispatched as they are separate items from Reich. Part numbers are Reich original so they might be diferent from where you order.
Cost is approx 10-15 € in Germany + shipping.
Hope it solves your problem.
Karl-Heinz
Hallo, Ed,
